California Hopeless Against Middleton Saturday, April 18th , 2054 Fans at Evans Diamond witnessed the Creighton Blue Jays blank the California Golden Bears, 3-0, on the strength of a superb effort from starter Charlie Middleton. The Creighton right-hander allowed 4 hits in recording the shutout. "Charlie was good today, but I don't want to focus too much on a single game," Creighton manager Iván Salas said. "If you're capable of playing at this level, you're capable of having a good game. The real question is if you can learn from that game and repeat it."
