5-for-5 Day for Morgan Tuesday, May 19th , 2054 Miami third baseman Allen Morgan had a big day at Doug Kingsmore Stadium against the Clemson Tigers. The 18-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led to the 16-9 Hurricanes triumph over Clemson. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Morgan said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Allen Morgan hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Earl Imbert in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
