Smith Socks It to Bulldogs, Cracks 5 Hits Tuesday, April 6th , 2055 It was a parade of hits for Tommy Smith of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at Foley Field. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Smith finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 7 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Yellow Jackets to a win, 21-17. "Smith was really good and we were really bad," groaned Bulldogs manager Armando González. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him."
