Doctors in Rutgers said John Howard might not play anymore this year. The Scarlet Knights starting pitcher suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament during a game against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and will be out for at least 9 months. Club officials told BNN they do not expect him to return to the team this season.

To date this year, Howard shows a 3-1 record, 5 starts, 29.2 innings, 36 strikeouts and a 1.52 ERA.
