That's exactly what Jeff Kessler did at Field of the 76ers, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 8-4. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Kessler said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The Saint Paul HS Ragin Cajuns second baseman blistered the Planview JFK HS Hawks for 4 hits, batted in 6 runs and scored 4 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," Planview JFK HS manager Ramiro Martínez said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Jeff Kessler hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Lou Moore in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Nelson Fernández in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Nelson Fernández in the 9th. This year, Kessler has hit 10 home runs and posted a .470 batting average. |
