Wizards Advance to HS Title Round Monday, May 29th , 2051 In a series that had a little bit of everything, the Buchanan HS Wizards have edged the Butler HS Tornado. The two rival clubs went the distance in the tightly-contested Top 4 Round, with a 6-5 win in the clincher being the difference for Buchanan HS and giving them the ticket to the HS Title Round with a 3-2 series triumph. "We never stopped believing in ourselves. When push came to shove we were going to get it done," said Doug Knight, who was named series MVP. For the series, Knight hit .765 with a .800 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 9 runs. The Buchanan HS Wizards will play against the Saint Paul HS Ragin Cajuns in the next round. Saint Paul HS won their series against the Spring Valley HS Bombers 3 games to 1.
