Holliday Sensational, 5-for-5
Monday, May 8th , 2056
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Fort Worth HS's 9-3 win over Oliver Ames HS, right fielder Tom Holliday was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Fort Worth HS Grounds.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Holliday said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Tom Holliday singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
In 38 games this season, Holliday has compiled a .290 batting average with 40 hits and 12 home runs. He has also scored 29 times and knocked in 38 runs.
