Porter at His Best, Blanks Newark HS Thursday, March 31st , 2050 Steve Porter led the Butler HS Tornado to a 5-0 shutout victory over the Newark HS Rush at Rush Stadium today. "My pitching coach told me before the game just to bear down and focus," Porter recalled later. "He said no one was going to hit me if I'm throwing a good breaking ball with good location." Porter yielded 5 hits and had 12 strikeouts and 1 walk in the standout performance. "I thought he put the ball where he wanted to," Newark HS manager Bob Corrigan said.
