Season Possibly Over for Doug Holmes Sunday, April 17th , 2050 Baseball can be a contact sport at times. It can exact a harsh toll on a player's body. In a recent game against Shelby HS Rockets, Golden Bears reliever Doug Holmes was injured throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 4 months with ulnar nerve entrapment. The team did not announce any roster moves today related to this injury. The Billings West HS skipper told BNN that personnel decisions would be announced as early as tomorrow. So far this season, in 2 relief appearances Holmes has compiled an ERA of 4.98. He has pitched 21.2 innings, struck out 22, walked 14 and registered no saves. |
