Blast Off! 3 HR for Pinhey Thursday, April 21st , 2050 The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Ken Pinhey did today at Ballpark of Novato HS, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 11-5. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Pinhey said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The H.H. Dow HS Chargers catcher blistered the Bishop Gorman HS Crusaders for 3 hits, batted in 6 runs and scored 3 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," Bishop Gorman HS manager Carlos MartÃnez said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Ken Pinhey hit a two-run home run off Quinn MartÃnez in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Bob Lay in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Artie Arnold in the 8th. So far this season Pinhey has hit .312 with 7 home runs, 25 RBIs and scored 23 times. |
