Blanchard Sensational, 16 Ks Sunday, April 24th , 2050 Tim Blanchard of the Evans HS Knights put on a pitching clinic today at Engines Ballpark as he struck out 16 Indianapolis HS Rifles in a 6-0 victory. Blanchard, who leads the HSCL in strikeouts with 75, was simply magnificent as he held the Rifles to 2 hits. He walked 4. "I felt okay at the beginning," Blanchard said, "but eventually my sinker really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game." When asked about Blanchard's performance, Knights manager Bobby Brewster shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating." On his stats sheet this season Blanchard shows a 5-1 record, 6 starts, 48.2 innings, 75 strikeouts and a 2.59 ERA. View Boxscore View Game Log |
