Doug Roddy Hurt, Will Miss Rest of Year Friday, May 6th , 2050 The doctors have spoken and Doug Roddy of the Wichita HS Parrots didn't like what he heard. The 15-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Roddy sustained his season-ending injury during the Newark HS Rush game yesterday at Rush Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Wichita HS medical staff reported Roddy had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 8 months. On the season Roddy has 3 wins and 1 loss and a 3.31 ERA. |
