Summit Advance to Top 4 Round Friday, May 20th , 2050 The Grand Rapids HS Summit were paced by a strong offensive output from Davey Baker as they downed the Spanish Fork HS Jaguars 3-2 to win the Top 8 Round. Grand Rapids HS won the final game by a score of 10-6 at Ballpark of Wildwood HS to send themselves off to the Top 4 Round. "I wasn't so much focused on putting up big offensive numbers as I was about ensuring we won the games. So it's mission accomplished there," said left fielder Baker, who was named MVP. For the series, the MVP hit .412 with a .476 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Grand Rapids HS Summit will play against the Indianapolis HS Stallions in the next round. Indianapolis HS won their series against the Santa Ana HS Braves 3 games to 2.
