Hits Galore: Danila Drills 5 Hits Sunday, April 19th , 2054 There are moments in a player's career that they will not soon forget. Alecu Danila of the St. Louis HS White Sox had one such moment at U.S. Cellular Field, when he went 5 for 6 at the plate. His hitting heroics weren't enough to pull out the victory, however, and St. Louis HS succumbed to defeat, 8-6, to the Oxnard HS Sailfish. "This was quite a day for me individually, but a little disheartening at the same time," the 15-year-old left fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "It would have been very special if we had won the game." Alecu Danila singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, grounded out in the 8th and singled in the 11th.
