Michael Gunther Wallops 3 Homers for Hornets Sunday, April 19th , 2054 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Mudcats Ballpark buzzing, Bryant HS Hornets shortstop Michael Gunther blasted a trio of home runs en route to a win, 9-8, over the Bishop Verot HS Mudcats. "Everything was clicking," Gunther told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Gunther shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Hornets manager Rob Lynch said. "Michael played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Michael Gunther struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Phil Egbert in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Phil Egbert in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Kieran Dickerson in the 6th, walked in the 8th and flied out in the 9th.
