Knights Prevail, as Top 8 Round Goes to the Wire Saturday, May 21st , 2050 The Evans HS Knights and Joliet HS Matatdors put on a classic Top 8 Round that was in question until the final game. In the end, Evans HS won the deciding contest by a score of 1-0, to take the series 3-2. "It doesn't get much tighter than that. To win a series in the last game is a thrill," said Mike Christensen, who earned series MVP honors for Evans HS. "Our guys are breathing a little easier now." For the series, Christensen hit .421 with a .542 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 12 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Evans HS Knights don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Fort Worth HS Turkeys - Jeffersonville HS Trojans series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece.
