Big Day for Hicks: Swats 5 Hits

All game long, Montgomery HS's Toby Hicks was rattling the walls at Ballpark of Montgomery HS and banging out base hits against the Mountain Pointe HS Defenders. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Spikes had a win, 13-10.
Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 15-year-old left fielder said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this."
Toby Hicks singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Bob Brabazon in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
Looking at his present stats, Hicks has compiled a .338 batting average in 23 games with a .475 on-base percentage, while hitting 3 home runs and driving in 21 runs.
