Peterson Slams 3 Homers for Rockies Wednesday, April 29th , 2054 Des Moines HS Rockies second baseman Chris Peterson had a magnificent game against the Maris School Mariners, rocketing three balls out of Colorado Field to help the Rockies win, 17-2. "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes." For the game, Peterson went 3-for-4 with 9 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Des Moines HS manager Matt Pierce said later. "Seems like Chris found his home run stroke today." Chris Peterson hit a three-run home run off Doug Foley in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Steve Turcotte in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Alberto León in the 5th and flied out in the 7th. For the season, Peterson is hitting at a .364 clip with 13 home runs, 37 RBIs and has scored 33 runs. He has 39 hits, 17 walks and a .457 on-base percentage. |
