3-HR Game for Rodríguez Thursday, April 30th , 2054 It was a good day for the Bishop Amat HS Lancers and an exceptional one for Juan Rodríguez. The 17-year-old right fielder sent three bombs out of the park to help the Lancers beat the Sunrise Manor HS Millers, 14-6, at Vendettas Ballpark. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Rodríguez said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 8 runs and smacked 4 hits in 6 at-bats. Juan Rodríguez hit a three-run home run off Lawrence Howard in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Eugene Cutler in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Eugene Cutler in the 7th and struck out in the 8th.
