Householder Tags Crusaders for 5 Hits Monday, May 4th , 2054 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Spencer Householder is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Bishop Gorman HS Crusaders at Carbines Ballpark. The monster effort from the 16-year-old right fielder helped the Oliver Ames HS Tigers get the win, 19-1. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Crusaders manager Tom Duke. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Spencer Householder hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit a three-run triple in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Bobby Birdsall in the 8th.
