Alford Goes 5-for-5 Against Broken Arrow HS Tuesday, March 28th , 2051 Today at Ballpark of Sterling HS, Darryl Alford put on an impressive display. The Jeffersonville HS Trojans center fielder tagged Broken Arrow HS pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but his teammates were unable to capitalize on the spree and lost the game to the Broken Arrow HS Threshers by the score of 8-5. "The loss takes some of the joy out of it, but I'll take it," Alford said. "5-for-5 ain't bad in any league." Despite the terrific performance, the Trojans manager was unwilling to offer the center fielder much praise, saying the "whole roster" is held accountable for losses. "Darryl told me 'Coach, I had 5 hits' and I said 'Well that's great, but it looks like we needed one more from you,'" manager Matt Vargas said.
