He blanked them 6-0 on 4 hits, registering 11 strikeouts and 1 walk. "The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Carter said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down." Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, Oliver Ames HS skipper José Pinto said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations."
