Davis Swats 3 HR Against Newark HS Saturday, April 15th , 2051 Ray Davis went on a hitting rampage at Rush Stadium today and got membership in the select club of hitters who have hit three home runs in a game. He walloped three into the stands to pace the Summit to a 8-3 victory over the Newark HS Rush. The Grand Rapids HS first baseman collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 4 and scored 4 runs. "I don't know, you never know when things are going to fall into place," he told the press after his big game. "Today, I didn't have any special insight or adjustment, I just happened to get three pitches I was ready for." Ray Davis walked in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Michael Bennett in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Karl Sorensen in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off John Smith in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. Thus far this year Davis is batting .333 with 9 home runs, 14 RBIs and 16 runs scored. |
