North Las Vegas HS No Match for Perkins Wednesday, April 19th , 2051 In an outstanding mound performance, Billings West HS Golden Bears starter Kent Perkins fired a complete-game shutout against the North Las Vegas HS Marauders at Jazz Ballpark today. Perkins was the key to the Golden Bears's 4-0 win. The 15-year-old right-hander was in high spirits on the mount for much of the game, his mood largely undented by the 2 hits and 1 walk he allowed. "2 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter as long as it was a shutout." Up to now Perkins has compiled an ERA of 4.50 with a 1-4 mark over 5 starts.
