Jones Hit String Snapped at 22
Saturday, April 26th , 2053
Ken Jones's 22-game hitting streak has now come and gone. It was snapped today as the Dayton HS Paladins suffered a setback against the Rocky Point HS Eagles, 5-2.

Jones went without a hit in 4 trips to the plate. He was visibly upset during a postgame press conference, but it appeared that the streak had little to do with it.

"The hitting streak was one of those things where it was fun while it lasted, but I'm not going to lose any sleep about it tonight," he said. "On the other hand, I am going to lose sleep about dropping this game today."

On the season, Jones is batting .406 with 7 home runs and 23 RBIs. He has played in 27 games.
