The Wichita HS second baseman had a fantastic 5-for-6 day against the Tacoma HS Torchmen, leading his club to victory, 14-7. "I was seeing the ball very well and it was going just about anywhere I wanted," Johnson said later." Ira Johnson singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.
