That's exactly what Jon Poe did today at Vendettas Ballpark, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 6-4. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Poe said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The Bishop Amat HS Lancers first baseman blistered the Sunrise Manor HS Millers for 4 hits, batted in 3 runs and scored 4 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," Sunrise Manor HS manager Júlio Farías said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Jon Poe hit a solo-shot off Jesús Sánchez in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Jesús Sánchez in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Pablo Hernández in the 7th, grounded out in the 9th and walked in the 11th. For the season Poe is batting .319 with 22 hits and 5 home runs. He has scored 14 times and batted in 14. |
