Postseason Bid Ends for Montgomery HS Tuesday, May 2nd , 2051 The Montgomery HS Spikes may still need a piece or two before becoming championship material in High School Stars League. The team has fallen short of its playoff goals this year, being officially eliminated from the playoffs today. "I feel like we have a great group," Spikes manager Anthony Rucker said. "We happened to come up short or our goal, though. We'll re-tool and be back stronger next season." The Spikes have missed the playoffs 15 times in their 17 years as a High School Stars League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 8th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2043. In the last 10 seasons, the Spikes have missed the playoffs 8 times. |
