Playoffs Won't Happen for Rifles Thursday, May 4th , 2051 The dream of lifting a championship banner above the home field of the Indianapolis HS Rifles has been extinguished, at least for 2051. The club was formally eliminated from playoff contention today. Asked to comment on the news, Rifles manager Luis Sánchez issued a one-word statement, which cannot be printed by BNN. Indianapolis HS last appeared in the postseason in 2037. This is their 14th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 24 times in their 26-year history. |
