Bennett Tags Pirates for 5 Hits Thursday, May 4th , 2051 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Michael Bennett of the Des Moines HS Rockies. Bennett went on a tear at Colorado Field and cracked hit after hit off Oceanside HS pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond, the 16-year-old catcher had a career 5-for-5 day and something he will long remember. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell them we lost," he joked in the BNN postgame interview. Despite Bennett's personal accolades, the Oceanside HS Pirates walked off the field with the 13-11 win. Michael Bennett singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
