Davis Torches Pelicans for 5 Hits Thursday, May 4th , 2051 5 times is the charm -- at least for Joe Davis. The Broken Arrow HS Threshers first baseman tore up the Loomis Chaffee Pelicans to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Threshers Ballpark today. The offensive onslaught from Davis powered the Threshers to a 11-3 win. "Davis was a tough out today," Loomis Chaffee manager Cade Palen said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Joe Davis doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Grant Moran in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Batting .342 to date, Davis has 4 home runs and 23 RBIs.
