Hit Streak Now at 20 for Wilson Monday, August 8th , 2044 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Chris Wilson did it again, bashing 1 hit in the contest at John Wayne Memorial Ballpark today. For the last 20 games in a row, the 19-year-old right fielder has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Santa Anna Dukes beat the Yellowknife Claws 11-2 today. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Wilson told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Santa Anna clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Chris Wilson singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, flied out in the 3rd and flied out in the 6th. For the year Wilson has hit .304 with 12 home runs, 36 RBIs and scored 39 runs. |
