Robinson Parks 3 for Palmyra Wednesday, July 5th , 2051 Players don't hit three home runs in a game very often and when they do, it is something to celebrate. After today, Don Robinson can celebrate. The Palmyra Overlords first baseman powered three into the stands at Overlords Ballpark today against the Castle Rock Captains. "It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run," Robinson told reporters after the game. "Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today, I was really trying on that last one." In all, he was 3-for-3 as the Overlords toppled Castle Rock by a score of 7-2, knocking in 5 runs and scoring 4 times. "He is blessed with a natural home run swing," Palmyra manager José Santana said. "He gets the ball up in the air." Don Robinson hit a two-run home run off George Cranton in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off George Cranton in the 4th, was hit by a pitch in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Danny Hester in the 7th. Robinson is currently hitting at a .280 pace with 9 home runs, 20 RBIs and has scored 21 times. |
