Bennett Parks 3 HR in the Seats Thursday, July 6th , 2051 Fans seated in the bleacher section at Overlords Ballpark were taking cover all day long as Artie Bennett zeroed in on them, rattling three long blasts off the seats in a display of Herculean power. The big game from the Castle Rock third baseman helped the Captains take the victory, 12-2, over the Palmyra Overlords. "I told myself not to press on the last one," he told reporters in the postgame press conference. "I knew I couldn't force it -- it has to be a nice easy swing." For the game, he collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 4 and scored 3 runs. Artie Bennett grounded out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Juan Valdéz in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Javier Díaz in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off William Clowes in the 9th. |
