Brown Belts 3 HRs Wednesday, July 12th , 2051 Paul Brown was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 14-10 Columbia Mavericks triumph at Ballpark of Sunrise Manor today. The 18-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Mavericks past the Quincy Doughboys. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Brown told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The right fielder went 4-for-5, rung up 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs on his record-setting day. Paul Brown hit a solo-shot off Pablo Rivera in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Pablo Rivera in the 5th, walked in a run in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Lester Combs in the 9th and grounded out in the 9th. This season Brown is hitting .351 with 7 home runs. |
