Fire Fighters Francisco López Will Miss Season Monday, July 24th , 2051 Francisco López has to call it a season. The Gilbert Fire Fighters starting pitcher sustained a season-ending injury against the Birmingham Bulls and will not play again this year according to club doctors. López was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as shoulder inflammation and stated that he would not be able to play for 5 months. On the season López has compiled a 2-2 mark with a 3.64 ERA in 15 starts. In pitching 89 innings he has 87 strikeouts and 21 walks while limiting the opposition to a .250 batting average. |
