Watertown Whitewashed by Ramos Tuesday, September 1st, 2037 The Watertown Headhunters manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Birmingham Bulls. The Headhunters were overpowered by Birmingham starter Wilson Ramos, who hurled his club to victory, 1-0. "It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Dominique Provencher said. Over 9 innings, Ramos blanked Watertown on 6 hits with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts. "I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Ramos said. "I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one." Up to now Ramos has compiled an ERA of 3.39 with a 2-2 mark over 10 starts.
