Hat Trick of Home Runs for Gould
Wednesday, August 9th , 2051
Chris Gould of the Eagle Squadron went on a hitting spree at Eagle Squadron Ballpark today and earned membership in the select club of hitters who have hit three home runs in a game. He blasted three into the stands in a 16-9 loss to the Wrexham Dragons.
"I'm not happy with the outcome of the game, but it was still a great game for me," Gould said in the clubhouse following the loss. "I have been making solid contact lately, but not getting any lift. Today I got it up in the air and out of the ballpark. I had my home run swing down pat. Got some good pitches to hit, too."
The Roy third baseman did indeed have quite a game, collecting 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 3 RBIs and scoring 3 runs.
Chris Gould hit a solo-shot off Tex Rowe in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Tex Rowe in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, walked in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Eric Adams in the 8th.
Currently Gould is hitting .228 and has collected 33 home runs, 53 RBIs and scored 67 times, while playing in 111 games.
