Bang-up Game: Price Slams 3 Homers
Thursday, August 7th , 2053
Terry Price added his name in the record books after an explosive home run spree against the Roy Eagle Squadron. But despite joining the select list of sluggers to hit three home runs in a game, it didn't guarantee a victory. The Quincy Doughboys fell to the Eagle Squadron, 12-8.
In his big day at Ballpark of Sunrise Manor, the Quincy third baseman went 3-for-5 with 3 RBIs and scored 3 times.
"It was just one of those days," he told BNN sportswriters in the postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball. "You would think three homers would win most games. It was good to hit 'em, but a win would have really made my day."
Terry Price hit a solo-shot off Gregory King in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Juan Flores in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Ángelo Ybarra in the 9th.
So far this season, Price is batting .178 with 6 home runs, 11 RBIs and 11 runs scored. He has 13 hits in 73 at-bats, 9 walks and a .265 OBP. Price has played in 23 games.
