Headhunters Galván Lost for Year Tuesday, July 28th , 2054 The doctors have spoken and Ed Galván of the Watertown Headhunters didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Galván sustained his season-ending injury during the Santa Anna Dukes game yesterday at John Wayne Memorial Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Watertown medical staff reported Galván had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 9 months. In 28 starts this season, Galván has recorded a 2-11 record and a 9.19 ERA. |
