Commoners Get Zilch in 6-0 Loss to Dukes, Bryant Sunday, August 9th , 2054 Gil Bryant was in a zone of his own most of the day, shutting out the Fort Collins Commoners on 3 hits. "He was too darn good for us today," grumbled Fort Collins manager Tatsui Tanaka after the 6-0 loss to the Santa Anna Dukes. Bryant finished with 5 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing. In the postgame press conference, Santa Anna manager Manuel Espinoza said Bryant "had good velocity, good movement and had those guys off balance. He just pitched his butt off."
