Prairie Dogs Meyer Raps 3 Homers Wednesday, August 12th , 2054 Eric Meyer brutalized the Watertown Headhunters pitching staff, launching three home runs in the 33-12 Pueblo victory at Headhunters Ballpark. The Pueblo Prairie Dogs center fielder was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 3-for-6 with 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored. "Too much Eric Meyer today," Headhunters manager Charles Walters said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Eric Meyer hit a two-run home run off Juan Carlos Vallejo in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Juan Carlos Vallejo in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 7th, walked in the 9th and struck out in the 9th.
