Tom Mullins Injured, Out for Year Thursday, August 13th , 2054 Quincy reliever Tom Mullins could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn rotator cuff. He exited yesterday's Scottsdale game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Mullins would be out 11-12 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that." For the year, Mullins has collected 2 saves in 12 relief appearances. He has also notched 29 strikeouts and 9 walks in 21 innings while registering a 4.71 ERA and a 0-0 won-lost record. |
