No Late-Season Magic Coming: Gilbert Out of Playoffs Monday, September 4th , 2051 Gilbert Fire Fighters manager Nick Clayton said his club came "agonizingly close" to making the playoffs. But close won't be good enough this year, as the Fire Fighters have now been officially ousted from contention. This is the club's 18th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2033. In total, the Fire Fighters have missed the playoffs 22 times in their 26-year history. |
