Wild Card Clinched by Dukes Thursday, August 20th , 2054 The Santa Anna Dukes don't see themselves as underdogs or long shots to win the Round 2. It may have been only a wild card berth the team was celebrating, as opposed to an Mike Bryant League crown, but that didn't damper the optimism. "I think we're one of the best teams in this league and when it counts, I know we can be the best," said starting pitcher Arnie Foster. "No one is going to remember the team that had the best regular season record. They are going to remember the Round 2 champions and we believe that's going to be us." The Dukes have a 92-38 record and will be looking to win the 1st Round 2 in team history. |
