Sanderson Socks It to Surveyors, Cracks 5 Hits Sunday, August 23rd , 2054 Hartford right fielder Scott Sanderson could do no wrong in his team's 17-16 win over the Surveyors, as he collected 5 hits. "Things were in his favor in every one of his at-bats," Surveyors skipper Brian Johnson said to the press corps after the game. "He got hitters' counts." Sanderson agreed, saying that getting ahead early in the counts was "the key" to his game. "Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit," he said. "You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready." Scott Sanderson grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 9th.
