MacPherson Booms 4 HR Against Roy Tuesday, August 25th , 2054 Nothing could stop Mark MacPherson -- certainly not the Roy Eagle Squadron pitching staff. The 17-year-old second baseman for the Ellicott City Surveyors sent 4 baseballs soaring out of Shaolin Grounds and made his name a part of history. Behind his barrage, the Surveyors earned a win, 30-10, over the Eagle Squadron. "In the standings, a loss is just a loss, but this one was frustrating," Eagle Squadron manager Glenn Melican said later. "He clobbered us." MacPherson's dream game included 7 hits in 7 at-bats, 4 homers, 13 runs driven in and 6 runs scored. "I know all the stories are going to be about me today, and that's OK," MacPherson told the press in the locker room after the game. "Next time, it'll be one of the other guys." Mark MacPherson hit a GRAND SLAM off Dan Hardy in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
