Alford 5-for-6 for Scottsdale Saturday, August 29th , 2054 Darryl Alford of the Jackies was unstoppable in his team's 8-7 victory over the Ellicott City Surveyors at Flatulence Field. He battered them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. "Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Scottsdale second baseman after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-6 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will." Darryl Alford doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 7th, doubled in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 10th.
