Bower Crashes 3 HR Against Alabama Monday, August 23rd , 2055 Hartford second baseman Rich Bower blasted three homers at Marshall Space Flight Field in the 19-7 Darth Whalers victory over the Alabama Shakes. For the game, Rich Bower scored 3 times and knocked in 5 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Bower when he reached home plate. "It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 4-for-6, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful Bower told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day." Rich Bower hit a solo-shot off José Urzua in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off José Urzua in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 7th, flied out in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 9th.
