Héctor Rivas was at the head of a Palmyra hit parade today at Ballpark of Amity Gardens. The left fielder went to the plate 7 times and came away with 6 hits, sparking the Overlords to a 16-8 victory over the Brunswick Squares.

"I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Rivas told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today."

Squares skipper Pedro Romero said later that the club gave up "too much plate."

"Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."

Héctor Rivas hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Jack Marsh in the 5th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 8th.

This year Rivas is hitting at a .352 pace with 7 home runs and 18 RBIs. He has played in 29 games and scored 32 times.
